I'm not surprised
I watched 15 minutes of the first episode and had enough, 5 of those 15 minutes were commercials

Now go develop a show that depicts fishing as it should be shown with no story line (like Seinfeld).. |

Even if kayak anglers loved the show there wouldn't have been enough of us to keep the show afloat, so it's silly to say that the kayak fishing community killed the show. There's a likely chance that it was primarily anglers watching the show to begin with; I can't imagine any non-fisherperson having any interest in the show beyond maybe one episode.
Let these guys be themselves, put it on the sportsman channel, and it may have had a chance. |

We might be missing the point. Maybe the show wasn't bad enough. I mean all the popular reality shows "not real at ALL" really SUCK. That is why I don't watch almost anything considered "a reality show". The videography was good, the editing just sucked.

They'd get more viewers if they placed a few cameras at Norms when we show up to eat after a short day of fishing. Tony's dropping F bombs that can be heard clear across the restaurant Roby telling stories about all the fish he's lost Me....................well every reality show needs a handsome fella Where's Greg? If you've fish with us enough you'll know where he's at.

I bought the season on Amazon
I loved the show. It depicted how Kayak fishing is all about.
Locals fighting about territories, fisherman flipping there kayak on big fish, Haters come to shore saying get the F* out of my beach...... Loved it... so many similarities....

Hawaiian Localism morphs into Kayak Fishing...
I lived, worked and kayak fished on four
Hawaiian Islands. Aquahunters was my go-to internet board. This show was seeded by the Aquahunter guys. I was amazed that the Discovery Channel believed the territorially friction between kayaking locals would pay off as Reality TV. |

I like the way Kimi dispatched her octopi by biting them between the eyes.

I downloaded the short season for my AppleTV.
The faux drama (silly fabrications) to make it a "Reality Show" killed it for me. I liked watching them catch fish in a beautiful place, but the rest of the fake storyline was way over-modulated. I couldn't finish watching the series. There were 6 episodes.
