I'll be there. When we all worked together to save La Jolla from an MLPA closure, I never imagined this outcome. James is there now. I get to visit him every time I fish this special place.

My family is grateful for everything the community has done to help us remember James. It's special to us. Thank you Andy and to everyone in the OEX crew.

Thank you Hobie Fishing! There's more to come. I'm going to start posting up a new prize every week. I think I can keep it going for the next 12 weeks.

If you fish the James Lebowitz Memorial, you might win some sweet AFTCO apparel. We'll have an assortment of board shorts, sun shirts and hats up for grabs. Sign up and stay tuned; I'll have another set of prizes to post in a few days.

Time for another prize post. Someone's going home with this FeelFree Dry Cool Pack. Use it to keep your refreshments cool - there's an insulated insert - as well as a drain and a quick-access zipper. Not thirsty? It doubles as a standard and spacious dry bag.

good stuff Paul! last year HOW was the recipient of the proceeds. Great fishing that time of year, we had all 4 categories filled with quality fish!

The So Cal Heroes on the Water Team has already offered their assistance in cooking for this event.

I'm late with this prize update. First off, the way fishing has been off the hook, the catches could be spectacular and history making for a La Jolla kayak fishing tournament. Sign up already!

If you rock a Hobie and wear a size L tee, you'll want one of the cool Hobie by Hurley shirts in our collection of prizes. We have several designs. There's also this camo'd Hobie by Hurley set of boardshorts.

I'll have more prizes to post soon. Stay tuned!

Paul,

If ever there was a person/family worthy of support, it be you/yours, amigo.

Sammons clued me in on the event at the launch yesterday and, whether free that day or not, I'm glad to contribute (will do so via PayPal).

Later, while chatting with Rod & Val on the water, got Tobey on the phone and had a common chat via speaker phone. Quite comical, actually - an unusual reunion of sorts.

All said, clearly bad things can happen to good people, with one's measure determined by how we deal with them. True to form, you're high up there, sir and I, as always, look forward to seeing you whenever wherever.

Avery

Easiest way to do that is just sign up, weather attending or not! All proceeds minus the nominal Paypal fees are going right to the James Lebowitz Computer Science Scholarship
