I was at Bolsa Chica this weekend with my kids and funny thing was that we seen a dead adult seal on the shore. But off to the side on the jetty rocks was a seal pup that looked tired and hungry. In no way did I try to help it but through my kids I had to feel sorry for his condition. My kids asked me to call the beach patrol and report the baby seal, and for my kids sake I did. The operator told me that it was reported and someone was in route to pick up the dead seal and the pup. I have my own opinions about fishing a hot bite and seals are present and I think we're all in agreement. Kinda like being a charger fan at a raider game- they get annoying. But life is life, and in public places like the beach I wouldn't want to sit there and act like it doesn't bother me. If it was a beached whale or dolphin- I'm sure we'd all try to help it. #justmytwocents
