GONZAGA in OCTOBER

JUST in from Brandon, YakDout

regarding gonzaga
That Oct weather was too perfect for me to pass up this year BOB. Regardless if I make it down to abreojos in august I am in for any trip to gonzaga bay in the month of october. And if there is no trip set up yet, I propose a Trip down to your paradise. I know that Mike will be in and Im sure you will easily fill the rest. October 17-24 is what I propose. What do you think? Already anticipating our conversations about baja while drinking a pacifico at your paradise.

Last year this trip produced 100 fish days, Rooster fish, and one lucky [good] guy got 30 tails one day. Dorado too.
This trip will be from 17-24 October and I might stay a few extra days to hit the full moon on the 27th.

ALL ABOARD!!!

I'll know if I can go when we get closer to October. Still dreaming about that place. Same feelings I had when I went to Disney Land for the first time as a child.

Stand-by list

I'm interested but I will keep my name off the list for now so those that haven't been down there will have a chance to sign up.

I know this is pretty far in advance, but If anyone is on the fence about going down due to driving in Mexico, let me know. Depending on location I am more than willing to take your kayak and gear. Always helps to split gas. I am in temecula. Thanks!

Sounds good. Oct in gonzaga sounds like paradise. I'll know closer if I'm able to go.

You are officially on the list for this trip. Last year WAS epic. With the warm waters this year should be even better. Stock up on your Crocks and big deep running repalas. And do not forget your wire leaders as the big sierra will cut you off in a heart beat. You might not even feel the strike, just lure be gone.

Oh man, don't get me started on waxwings in gonzaga. The quickest 2 consecutive $34 casts I've ever made.... They work to answer your question

All the above or any others that run, 15-25 feet deep.

Let's just say that any size will work, but I got bit frequently on the big 20 ft depth yo zuris. And the xrap magnum 30. Nothing is too big as far as Rapalas.
