Interesting he chose to propel it with a "fin/tail"
Would be great to pick that guy's brain on that project.
If the motor moving the tail is powered by air? (You've got a lot of it in high pressure... might as well use that energy) that and batteries weigh a bit...
even the LiIon ones add a lot of weight if you pack them in there.

I think it's actually peddle driven.

That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. But I think a Mirage drive would be considerably more efficient.

Maybe Malibu Kayaks could talk to him and find out how he made his capsule water tight and apply that method to their hatches.

imagine the look on the faces of people on a cattle boat if you surfaced right beside them!

depending where you launch/land....dhs might send their recon dolphins or pursuer porpoises after you!

cool stuff right there....but why not use the compressed air for propulsion as well? route air to go to propulsion mechanism then to ballasts and cabin?

Set up a few trolling lines so that you can troll through kelp instead of around it.

Very Very cool.... But you can see towards the end that he has a humidity problem inside with everything fogging up. I'll bet it gets a little uncomfortable in there after awhile with the rain forest effect...

Do you scuba dive? removing your mask at 60feet to clean the fog off is probably much worst! Now imagin doing that at 1am. At lease he can wipe if with his hands as it fogs up. Spitting on the windshield helps btw
