I have never fished Mexico Pacific side and been wanting to go for sometime. I do have an oppurtunity to go but don't know where to go?. Is this a secret spot or a well known area?.

A tourist visa is required to go outside the "Tourist Zone." I believe that zone stops north of Ensenada, so you'll need one for SQ. They sell them on the Mex side of the border. Just ask when you're crossing and they should be able to direct you where to go. You will need a passport (and some patience) to get the visa.

They don't seem to check for the visa unless you go much farther south, but you never know... Of course, you also need the Mexican fishing license and boat permit. Keep all of this stuff with you at all times.

Some pretty orange Baja flowers on what looked like some sort of ice-plant.
