Charter Recommendations

I am looking to charter a local boat for a trip in the spring.

Does anybody have a recommendation of a good charter boat/crew for an overnight trip for about 30 people, leaving from San Diego?

Thanks.

I would post this on bloodydecks.com, you'll get a sh*t load of responses and some might be from local captains/charter boat operators.

Honestly some of my friends are not gonna like me for saying this but:

springtime sd...

Book the pride with capt greg, a lot of mixed feelings but I have respect for the dude for being good to the kayak community for the most part and he's not playing follow the leader.

whats a charter boat?

I have had a little luck with charters on the Dominator out of Mission Bay.

I agree with RK, the pride (capt. greg) good choice. I have fished this boat a couple times, greg is awsome and respects the kayak fisherman. He has alot of knowlage of the local waters and his crew is always great.

Dominator is actually now at Point Loma. Frankie is still owning/running just has moved.

I have always been a fan of the Dominator since the first trip I worked on it with Pete. Other choices would be Greg on the Dolphin 2 or if you really want a great experience go with John, Shane, Jason, and the rest of the Islander crew. Theres a good reason we do all our motherships with these guys.

I wouldnt do that.... Remember all the kayaker complaints against the Dolphin back in the day with Tim owned it? Well he now owns the Holiday and a lot of people are already having bad trips with him.
