Tarpon 160 w/ rudder and Color sonar

Need some cash and room on the kayak rack so im selling my Sand colored Tarpon 160 w/rudder. Kayak has been used about a dozen times and is in good shape, very dry inside. Seat is faded and such but nothing wrong with it at all. It is a 2009 model (there have been no changes to the boat since this was made). Has 2 installed flushmounts.

Includes a Lowrance M67c sonar on Ram mount. Ill even throw in a battery for the sonar.

1100.00 OBO (seriously, make an offer)

Also have paddles and pfd's if you needed that. Just need to clear some space and get some cash together to dump into my truck is all.

WHAT A DEAL

That is an awesome deal! Tarpon 160 is an awesome kayak and throw in the rudder! Wow. If I had the money I would swoop it up as a second T160. Let me know if you can do a nine month lay away?

Damn...

Some one is going to be stoked. T160 with a rudder and a fishfinder for 900? That is one hell of a deal.

yeah I need the money pretty bad right now. 900.00 will almost exactly pay for the 2 new shocks for my truck.

On the same lines, Im open to trades if for some reason a BWE member has a set of 2.5x16" Remote Resi or Bypass shocks. Maybe we can work out a trade that include shocks or something. Would prefer some King or SAW shocks.

Never mind I looked again and it was just an old coo-coo clock instead.

Damn Iceman I got all excited!

Gotta get my shocks so I can do the bedcage on my truck. Got all the parts except them and it is driving me nuts.

How 'bout the paddles?

Mine broke in half on Thanksgiving. I need a new one and maybe a spare.

Would you be willing to throw in a decent paddle? The ones with a bend in them? I know I'm stretching it, but its worth a try and I also have to ask the wifey too! doh!

wow, really? you want a bent shaft paddle for free on an already awesome deal? This is a great kayak and about $700 cheaper than buying new.

Yeah sorry I cant throw in a paddle, especially not a Bent shaft. The cheapest bent shaft I own is 480.00.

Yeah, i know. I've read up on it and the only thing I dont like is the weight capacity.

I ended up getting a Wilderness Systems Ride 135 for a heck of a deal. Thanks for sending me the pictures anyways.

How does that thing surf? If you still have it after I move and after I get the new rifle and after I get the new scope, I'll take it off your hands. I could probably use a sleek, sporty kayak strictly for paddling. Lord knows I wouldn't be able to fish from it. The weight of my tackle box alone would probably swamp it. Is the load capacity really only 375#? I can't believe that. I think I saw Dave Easton with at least 375lbs of WSB on his T160 once. You couldn't even see the kayak; it looked like he was straddling a raft made of lashed-together WSB.

Anyway.....let me know if you still have it when January rolls around.

Wilderness systems uses a recommended OPERATING weight for their maximum capacity. other manufacturers mark the weight capacity as when the kayak will sink, and cannot really be paddled...

In other words, i would have no problem using a tarpon 160 with 375lbs on deck, but I would not use another brand of kayak to their limit. make sense?
