LJ Sunday 8/8
Looks like we're headed back, hope to be there between 0500 & 0530.
When landing can you land in front of the lifeguard station? I parked in the free parking lot last time and would prefer to land in that area. |

Kayaks are not allowed in any designated swimming area. North of the LG tower is a surfing zone but I would not recommend landing there as the surf is usually much bigger than by the launch.

I went out last night. Been a couple months since I've been able to make it on the water so nice to get out and paddle. Launched at 4:15 from big rock to avoid the shores crowds and get right to fishing. Bait was easy to make, water was pretty clear, good current, all and all seemed fishy. Had one quick bite on the live bait and that was it. Landed at sunset, to my surprise the beach was pretty much covered by the high tide, made for an interesting landing, I'll have to remember to check the tides when I launch there. Won't be able to get out again for another couple weekends. I'm betting we read some reports of catches this week though.
