Thought I'd share some rods I've built lately...
I probably spent 6- 8 hours working on it, and in the end it is not as straight as I’d have liked, oh well, it was my first rod anyways. (I have since built a bunch of other rods) All I need to do now is figure out how to tie a Turk’s head, and it will be finished. The second rod is a Calstar GRFTR 700xl. I am wrapping it in Mexican (or in my case Italian ) colors, I did gold accents next to the green and red guide wraps. Hopefully this weekend I’ll get around to finishing up the butt wrap, and the tip top. Mexican Rod

Tyler,
Those are way cool! They're not rods, they're works of art! |

If anyone is on the fence about a custom rod/ repair, I'll vouch for Tyler. He does great work and is a stand up guy.
Now if I can only decide which calstar blank to buy..... |

Thanks Josh!
The sooner you choose that blank, the sooner you can kill fish with it.
