Baytubers tournament results 8/22/09

First off I want to thank a few of our sponsors that donated for this tournament.

MALIBU KAYAKS- For donating the Malibu X-13 kayak fish n dive model and Apex 1 seat. Thanks to Sean, Carey and everyone at Malibu!!!

OEX Sunset Beach - Thank you Andy for the paddle to go with the kayak!

HOOK 1 - Thank you Mark and Karen for the 10 shirts and 50 key chain/bottle openers!

PROMAR - Thank you Ben and Jas for the two sabiki rods and 50 lic holders!

Cowan Insurance Thank you Blair Price for the custom wrapped rod!

Buono's Pizza Thank you for the 6 family size pepperoni Pizza's and the two $25.00 gift certificates!

Pelican Thank you Mike Romo and wife for donating the big pelican box!

With our economy the way it has been and with all the closures coming soon, I opted not to ask for donations this year from our sponsors. With the exception of Malibu Kayaks (who I contacted), everyone else donated without me asking them to. Please support them as usual, they are our friends and fishing buddies.

Now with the tournament! We had 78 signed up but only 59 showed up to fish. We were able to give out $420.00 to first place, $210.00 to second place, and $70.00 to third along with 10 Daiwa Sealine sha 30 reels and 9 Daiwa Sealine sha 20 reels for the raffle. We sold 54 shirts and had guys kick in some extra money so KFACA gets a donation of $224.00.

1st. place was Paul "sclfishn" Cahill with a 13 lb. 14 oz. Halibut. Paul took home $420.00 plus a Pelican Box won in the raffle donated by Slab Catcher and his wife.

2nd. place went to Ricky Jr. with a 7 lb. 10 oz. Halibut. Ricky took home $210.00 and a Daiwa Sealine sha won in the raffle.

3rd. place went to Aaron "SlayerSmith" Smith with a 6 lb. 6 oz. Halibut and took home $70.00 and a Daiwa Sealine sha won in the raffle.

4th. place went to Ben "bpcode3" Para with a 6 lb. 4 oz. Halibut

John "Buttchaser" Gugliotta (most halibuts 69)

John
have you lost weight?
yer looking all buff and sexy in that pic...
or is it just the black OEX shirt, making you look slim and trim?

Those halibuts were lucking you stopped fishing for them at #69!!

Congrats again to you John and to Kiyo and Gabe,
outstanding!
