Final Details for San Diego MLPA BBQ/get-together in Poway

3PM until ???
Saturday June 13, 2009 in Poway

Hi all,

By now, you should get a PM with my addy and some other details. If you are planning to come and have not received a PM, please let me know and I'll send you one asap.

The list of attendees is as follows.

1. Joe (zenspearo) Yeah, I'd better show up..
2. Corey
3. Tyler Durden
4. Kurt
5. Matt
6. Grego
7. Billy V.
8. Tman (will try)
9. Shem (will try)
10. Jeff & Erika (will try)
11.Patrick
12 C. Cary
13. Nunyabizness1
14. Greenscales
15. Habanero
16. The Darkhorse

Again, if I spaced on anyone, please accept my apologies and let me know and I'll fix asap.

As a parent of 2 young boys and for obvious reasons, I want to keep my physical address fairly confidential off the net. Spearos had been assaulted, and cars have been vandalized by eco-nuts. Last thing I need is some eco-fanatic lurking around the bushes. Thus the PM.

Now then.

The party will be fantastic. One of the spearos volunteered 25 lbs of organic beef from his family's farm. We have some Yellowtail fillets and Tman already promised homemade gumbo. If everyone could bring a dish to share potluck style, it would be great.

I'm busy preparing a few people for the SAT meeting on the 18th so SDspearo (thank you thank you) volunteered to coordinate food/drinks. Please respond to him via PM or better yet, post here so people would know. Right off the bat, I can see we need more finger food (chips/dips/salsa/veggies) and drinks.

The house is at the end of the cul-de-sac and is the ONLY house with a black mailbox. I have the standard suburban BBQ set so bring whatever you need to bbq/warm up.

Parking: Plentiful along the street.

For your convenience, I'm attaching two pictures for identifying the house from the street. Keep walking up the driveway, there's a house down there--

and if you don't see a house that looks like the one in the picture after you crest a little hump, then try the next driveway.

Thanks and I really look forward to kicking back with some brew and good food with some great spearo and fishing paddler company.

Going to send you a PM as well. You're in the neighborhood (kinda), I'd like to show up if you don't mind. I can bring a seven layer dip from Costco.

UPDATED

Looks like following is on the way

Main dish stuff---

25 lbs of beef, yellowtail Shaggy's chicken and some Gumbo. We look covered here

Sides

Kurt's Potato Salad

Dessert--

Shaggy's Cheescake
Tara's (whatever she brings)

Snacks-- (Now covered)

Ryhne's Dip
Grego's Veggies
Tylers Dip and Chips
C Corey and Cary's Chips y Salsa
Brinkman 7 layer Dip
Chips from various

Drinks--

Kurt's Beer
Corey's Beer

Ice

So as of Friday night we need:

1. 1 more family sized dessert

2. Condiment trays for the beef and fish

3. Hamburger buns and rolls

4. (COVERED)

5. (COVERED)

6. Softdrinks So we can get stuff done and the kids--and psuedo--teatotalers like me don't go thirsty.

7. Beer (some one the way but not enough I'm guessing)

8. (COVERD)

9. (Covered) BUT more snacks that aren't dip/chips would be cool

I'm covering all the paper goods and whatever else needs getting that doens't get brung.

Let me know what you're bringing so I don't spend too much at costco for stuff that won't get eaten.

I'll bring a six pack of beer and some sodas. For the soda, are two litters ok (do you have cups), or should I get cans?
