Nope use mine a lot, I think seals & sealions are smarter than to grab one.
After all, they are clever enough to see a yaker, and know do dive behind him because the yakker is pulling a fish on a string, and then steal that little fish off of the string. My guess is they likely don't get confused by the bait tube. I have had one nearly flip me grabbing at a fish I had on a game clip in the water. Willy |

No problems with seals but I have seen small pup makos (8-15#) come up and investigate the tube. But that has only happened to two people that I know of.

I had a sea turtle nose around mine two summers ago in LJ but never any seals or sharks.
