ICOM M32 Radios

I'm looking into getting an all purpose VHF radio and saw the ICOM's. I was curious if any of you have used this model or any of the ICOM's? Maybe there is a better brand out there, for about the same price? Looking to spend about $100.

ICOM M-34 is a very good unit. Its waterproof and Floats!

Besides myself, my other 2 kayak fishing partners use them.

Its around $160 but well worth it if it falls overboard.

I second what Billy said..my friend and both have that ICOM M34 model and they work great! I haven't had any problems with it and recently in Baja while trying to launch a skiff in some surf it fell off my jacket (boat knocked it off) and was floating away in the surf for about 30 seconds......still works perfect and thankfully it floats

I use the Icom M32 VHF.
Raido works good. It's been abused and under water many times...

Thanks guys, I'm definitely leaning towards the floating model. Any other comparable brands?

I spent the extra bucks and got the horizon 750s along with the extended warranty from west marine. The matched the best price I found online, so I'm extremly pleased. Going out tomorrow and will definently be trying it out. Thanks for all the input.

I was researching both the Icom and Standard Horizon last week. I went with the Standard Horizon the day after I called their customer service Thursday to order a replacement belt clip for my Yaesu (the HAM line of SH). The price was $8 and she said they had a bunch of them so she sent it out free that day. I got it the next day in the mail I have both Icom's and Yaasu radios and they are both well made but the tie went to SH customer service.
