Fishing in the rain

I've heard that the bass fishing is great during rain. Is there any truth to this? If so, any recommended tactics different from normal conditions?

I don't know but it was not good last saturday at Dana Point. 9 yakers out for tourney, 1 legal bass brought in to win

There are no set rules for when the bass go on the chew but I don't think the rain matters as much as current, tides, and water temps.
