Most go with GREEN. I have caught YT on bait straight tied to 65# green PP

Red and Yellow attract sand bass and sharks. Just get moss green and be done with it. Red and yellow are for peeps that want too look fancy!

Red and yellow are for people who need to really be able to see their line. The biggest example of this are guys fishing freshwater bass in heavy cover. Most the time you will see the line jump not feel a bite. As the fish sucks in your bait as opposed to a full drag ripping strike.
Also the brighter line can help when fishing large tuna where your topshot is gone. The brighter color is much easier to see if 2 lines get tangled and you must get them away from each other quickly. Personally I fish White Spectra 90% of the time. But I am also not fishing straight spectra like many of the guys on here do. |
