They are both great boats. If you are going longer distances go with the 15. Essentially the tracking and speed was the only real difference I have noticed. Also the forward deck on the 13 is slightly changed, I dont think it is better or worse though, just different.

What CJ said about is very true. A 15 foot boat will track and glide better on long distance paddleing. The shorter boat will handle better in the surf. I have an older p-13 and Im happy with its performance (Ocean and Bay). I do notice that when Im paddleing with people in bigger boats they seem move a little more gracefully. On the flip side while fishing in tighter spaces, I have a slight advantage.
My recomendation is that if you are going to fish primarly in the ocean covering long distances go bigger. |

90% of my fishing is within 2 miles of launch and 90% of my launches are through surf 1-3' (the good part about living in the shadow of the channel islands). Sounds like the 13 might be the way to go... (plus it comes in camo...)

I now have the older model p-13 and had the older model p-15 before that. The p-13 is more stable than the old style p-15 but does not paddle as well. I am able to load my p-13 on top of my honda accord with no problem and that is the main reason that I switched. Overall I am very happy with the p-13.
