What does the 09 have that the 07 doesn't that would make you upgrade?

Newer design for rudder and mirage drive up/down deployment.
Easier but all just work the same, fish won't care....

Ahhha...the new rudder controls are nice, but the click and go
mirage drive locks are stellar.

It looks like the "click and go" mounting brackets could be installed into an earlier model year Hobie. Maybe Nate can tell us for sure.

I never had any problem with the cam screws or the mirage drive during the 2 years of use @ La Jolla. Everything is still Tip-Top.

I will have to take a closer look at the 09 this week, as for the New Mirage Drive sprockets and screw-in mast they can definitely be installed on most of the older mirage drives.

I have a set on order now.

You can not install click n' go hardware on previous model year kayaks. The hull of the 09's were modified to be able to accept the click n go hardware. Hobie will be coming out with the new rudder up and down lines as a kit that you can retrofit on the older kayaks, but not for a while.
