Fishing 5 Months After Total Knee Replacement Surgery

Well it seems like forever since I went fishing and it felt pretty good to finally get out and soak a line even if it wasn’t from my kayak. Hopefully I’ll get back out on it pretty soon though.

Total knee replacement surgery was pretty intense and I just didn’t realize how involved it was. Just doing basic things was a real challenge. It took a lot of PT to gain some strength and walk again. I was out on short term disability for three months recovering. Thankfully I’m back walking pretty well and driving around again. If anyone of you need to have this kind of surgery feel free to contact me and I’ll give you the details without sugar coating anything.

Glad to see you back at it. One of my colleagues on ships had a double knee replacement, and it seemed like he was unimpeded. Best wishes for a fast recovery.
