Kayak fish of the week Nov/Dec 29th-5th 2021

Last Wednesday's drift from Dania to Fort Lauderdale Beach. The King Mackerel were on live bait.

Everything else was on jigs.

The Mutton Snapper made the day!

I went 1 for 3 hookups on Amberjacks... losing the other two on the wrecks.

This Little Tunny was stripped out as bait for Mahi.(no luck finding mahi )

Blackfin Tunas are always a welcome sight for fresh Poke!

I kept the Mutton and Two of the Blackfins, Everything else was released to fight again another day. The triggerfish was the only one requiring a descender device for re-acclimation.

Thanks SoCalEDC, I was only able to land the scrappy one. The bigger bruzers put me in the structure. During the spawn, I will target them with 100lb braid, and still lose some.

Thanks Quang, The variety is notable.... made it easy to win at Kayak Wars back when that was an online tournament.

Thanks, Grass frequently looks greener elsewhere, but Florida is tough to beat when it comes to fishing diversity.

Haha, I can’t imagine a 60+ pound YT from the yak and that’s about what I would expect an AJ of similar size to fight like.

Thanks, Yani, Your Aku Tuna Poke is my favorite recipe -- delicious and easy to quickly make.
