La Jolla 9 8 2021 on the Solo Skiff

As I usually try to go out once week, this summer I found and advantage that I can look further West or even head into the wind and chop, in search of larger fish. This week I got lucky enough to make over 10 smaller macs to chase the kelp paddies. Tuna like small bait, Yellowtail, like big bait. Heavy overcast at times but cleared out at times and for good by like mid morning. Was a fun day to chase the paddies, but sad, I did not get a shot at some Dorados or Tuna. There's always next trip.

Wow, nice day on the water. Too bad the fish did not cooperate. Next time?
