Mahigeer on TV!

After all I live in a movie town.

Here is a link for the TV show recorded by Stoked On Fishing during my last year’s trip to Gustavus Alaska:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGh-iUp63Hc&t=885s

There were three episodes shown on TV, but so far only one on YouTube.

I am going back with them this coming June 28-July 3rd again.
Report to follow.

Perhaps more video will be on TV, if so links to follow.

If you like driving and camping and can deal with some cold, Alaska has some great scenery and very kayak-accessible fishing. The Pink Salmon were log jamming to the steps of the hatchery in Valdez not far from my tanker's berth. No fishing within 1000 yds of the Hatchery, but down the road campers were limiting out on salmon from the shore.

The halibut was taken on a diamond jig while waiting for a berth in Cooks inlet. Lots of shelter bays with flat calm conditions -- perfect for a kayak during the summer months.

Thanks for the nice pictures.

I actually bought a book about fishing in Alaska on budget.

The best advise that I used so far, was to get the Alaska Airline credit card.
I am paying $12.00 (not a typo) for round trip this time.
First check-in luggage free too.

If I go, I would be renting an RV when there. Not a solo trip. Need a partner to share expenses and for safety.

It is on the bucket list for sure.

That’s cool! Every time I’ve spoken with Shea he’s super friendly and always engages my kids (they watch the show with me). Looks like a lot of fun.
