SD Bay for another butt.

Fished the mouth of the bay, really struggled to make bait ended up finding five mackerel for the day. Drifted with the strong East wind while throwing a underpin. Couple spotties and one giant guitarfish. The catch of the day was on the under spin, 27” halibut off the water by noon for a fresh fried fish lunch. Highly recommend pancake batter fried fish if y’all haven’t tried it!

Congrats on the hali!

Another yummy option for a fish fry, is to crush up frosted flakes with egg and flour!

Frosted flakes? Or regular corn flakes?

Both will work. The frost flakes will offer a bit of sweetness that can be nice and can complete certain fish. I have even used honey nut bunches of oats in a pinch to make ling cod fish sticks for the kids!

My favorite is gold fish! For a coating if I’m not using pancake mix
