I was reading the same 2-3 miles out of DP on Sunday and was wondering the same thing. Strong winds must have been causing an upwelling of cooler water. Offshore and out to the islands still reading mid-60's on the charts though.

There is definitely a cold current replacing the warmer water. Last week I fished LJ on Wednesday and the water temp was 66.3 at 5:30 am and by mid-afternoon was 66.9, then when I went back to fish on Friday the water was 62.4 and only came up to 62.7, since then sun never came out on Friday. That is a huge temp change in such a short time.
