MDR (no pics)

If nasty smelly water is your thing then go for it. Launched at 7:30am made way in the orange water to break wall and trolled for nada outside. Thought of trying the reefs but decided not to waste my time. Drifted inner wall and caught 2 butts, 1 mac, and over a dozen bass all on the hookup orange. Everywhere I can see it was orange, water temps 67 and to make matter worse, my trip was to include Alejos and they were freaking closed till 3! I dont think that red tide will clean out till past June.

I keep telling myself it's clearing up day by day, but I think that's just hope.

Waiting for Redondo to open. Where are you launching from at MDR? Need to look up water Conditions and open launches in Ventura if stinky Rojo won’t leave. Go offshore peddling for RFs and maybe a WSB.

However there’s some wind and big swell coming in from the West this week, and slightly cooler. Maybe it will clean up some of the red tide. But not much cloud cover - so sun will probably keep it going. If it last through June, you’ll see all the inshore fish take on that smell and taste.
