Dana point 10/26

So finished work early and hit doheny beach from 1 to 330. Water was almost 67 and winds were manageable near the beach. It was blowing south which kept me away from the pipe and barber poles.

Was going to use my Hook up baits, but checked with bait barge and they still had thos perfect sized sardines. So I opted for those.

Worked the beach for a few calico and sand bass. Many many short bites, so the fish on the attack weren't the right sized fish I was hoping for. Surf was up, outside Reef south of the harbor entrance was breaking. I was out while the tide was draining and at the low tide it really slowed for me.

Weather was great fog out in the distance made it nice and cool. Supposed to be hot this weekend.

Good luck if you make it out!

Perfect timing, thanks. I'm hitting it tomorrow with the hope of hiding from the wind at Doho. Hopefully this weather holds through tomorrow.
