Lake Perris!
Since lake Perris has been drawn down it's really sucked! Setting up and launching has been difficult and not worth the energy so I have stayed away for the past 2 or 3 years. Now the water level is rising and it's almost like the perris of old....it still needs to come up 10 feet or so to be like the perris I remember as a kid. Unfortunately since the lake has been drawn down, so has the amount of people visiting it. Which in turn, is less revenue for the lake and less revenue for the lake to maintain it's docks and facilities, which are in serious need of repair. Things are looking good for Lake Perris now, as the water rises so does everything else...one things for sure, the Bluegill fishing was INSANE! Quality and Quantity were the rule as they went FULL RACK at times. Check it out...

Legit bro. I just read an article someone posted about Perris. They added lots of spawning grounds, and structure, for the bass and bluegill, but also catfish tubes, which will not only be hiding slots, but spawning locations as well.
That cooler should feed the whole family and maybe a neighbor or 2. |

Looks like a great day! Thanks for the report. I heard it got blue stoned a week or so ago so I didn’t go there this weekend. But apparently that didn’t kill the bite! Did you find them any any specific depth or were they spread all over the place? Thanks for the report

Awesome fish there.
In AZ, they are starting to see HUGE redears, especially in Havi and the Salt chain lakes in PHX. I've caught a few on slow rolled wacky rigged senkos in SoAZ that I thought were bass. So much fun on ultralight gear. Congrats! |

I'm sure it's because of the quagga mussels in the lakes. Havasu cranks out HUGE redears because of those things.
