Hoping for a repeat of my last session we hit the water at 6:50 in Huntington Harbor. Also I wanted try a Fly rod I just built, a 8Wt. Bushido I picked up a Mud Hole. It worked fine and I got it at 1/2 price. On to fishing.
I was cold, the water was cold, my feet were frozen cold.
Not much happening that day... caught one here, one there.

The under the bridge the bass started to get hungry at 9 AM.

Then the wind came up at 9:30 and by 9:45 we had white caps.
Time to go home!
Landed 8 fish in 2.5 hours.
A fun morning.

What type of flies were you using? I've never tried fly fishing in the ocean.
