Not sure who to believe
Magic seaweed says 1-2 foot Windy says 3 foot and wind looks to be ok Surfline is calling oil piers and little rincon to be 3-4 foot Anacapa Passage bout is reporting 2 plus swell out of the West so maybe this weekend isn’t a good idea. |

Do you park in this lot, take what looks like a tunnel to the beach then launch from there?

I normally park in that neighborhood right at the island then launch either on the south side of the peri when it's low tide or on the beach side Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I normally park here_Mobil Pier Rd, Ventura, CA 93001
It’s a public beach and pretty easy access to beach. I think I am just going to chance it. If the surf ends up being too big I will just fish off the beach. |

Roscoe we always park in that back lot and then wheel our kayaks down to the beach through the tunnel. You just gotta be careful because that back parking lot is so secluded there are usually tweakers hanging out back there.
The launch there is usually pretty sheltered, and smaller than most of the surrounding beaches. Great spot for calicos, lings, and Johnny Bass. We've caught a few baby WSB there as well. Lots of whales there usually too which is really cool. We haven't fished it since the spring tho since the flies around the island get insanely bad in the summer. Make sure to post a report!!!! |
