I've seen those but they are still pretty small and pricey (although im learning nothing kayak is inexpensive ) I will keep those in mind as an option.

I thought of using a dry bag, never thought about food dry storage, this opens a whole new world of things to repurpose.

For my cell phone, car keys and wallet I keep them in one like this, 20 liter can accommodate anything you need. Put it inside the kayak through the hatch opening. http://www.kayakfishingsupplies.com/lightweight-drysack
