Binocular recommendations

So broke the pair of Bushnells I had inherited from my dad. Need to replace w/something for the Pro-Angler to help eliminate chasing wrong things offshore - and hopefully targeting the right things instead.
Contemplating the following https://www.westmarine.com/buy/west-...ocus--16502890

But would love some feedback. Understand 7x50 are the best for balancing filed of view, etc. on the water. Would like good light transmission +85 at least. Uncertain about the full, center, fixed focus for the kayak. Want good lens coating and bak-4 prisms. Any guides out there have some suggestions, would appreciate the durability to functionality input. Would like to be under the $200 range - but will go higher if the $ to quality ratio is justified. Better to invest than wasting all the gas money to get to the ocean and time, etc. to chase things that aren't there.

Thanks in advance.

I have had 3 pairs of West Branded glasses, not this model but they were all the same model and the brightness was differnt on each of them. Found a pair in the store (demo/sample) with a brightness higher them the others, finally got store manager to sell them to me, I love them.

Thanks Bob. How are you doing. Looking at heading down to Baja next week. Wondering if Gonzaga or anywhere below on the Cortez is worth kayaking this time of year, or just too hot? How is the new kayak doing?

Thanks

Now that would be a nice trick Bob. All I need is for seakeeper to make a kayak sized gyro that costs less than a new car and then I wont need the gyro stabilized marine binos. https://www.seakeeper.com/

Vortex optics makes great binoculars. And every one of their products has an unconditional lifetime warranty.

Thanks. Was considering them from Baker Marine the next time I am in SD. Saw a larger price variance between models and in my limited research understood a 7x50 works best form most fishermen, and they do not have one. Do you have a model you recommend for the kayak.

I use the West Marine 8x42, Like I said before brightness is NOT the same on these, but they are my favorite for chasing birds, and spotting pattys.
