3/30 Marina del Rey

I fished the Baytubers monthly tournament at MDR. We met at the boat launch and launched at 7am. The overnight showers and wind must have scared off some, 30+ signed up and 21 showed. I decided to keep it simple as I did not have much time to get things ready after a busy week. Fished plastics outside in very snotty seas before coming inside the breakwall. All the action seemed to be in the main channel. Nothing but a sandbass, short bites and one that felt like the right kind before shaking the hook, just out of sight.

A nice 19 pounder won it all with a couple others over 10#........I should have got sardines!

Usual great Asian/Polynesian/Mex potluck was killer. Wonder where next months will be.

Here is our ride to Catalina next Friday, heading out at 9:30

I thought for sure these kind orange robed chummers would turn on the bite for me.lol
