I've pressure canned a bunch of different stuff, but have yet to can fish. Looking good - how do you prepare your canned meals? In casseroles? |

Nice. Is that a set of dive fins? You can go take it back from the dog personally.

I like it all different ways....

I put mayo relish onions....and just Frank's hot sauce on crackers is good, but just sandwiches with whole wheat bread...the sky the limit what you can do with it....it just me so I don't make a lot of dishes and besides fresh yellowtail leftovers the next day is not the same yellowtail the day you cook it...wish I had more time to try Yanni's recipes No vacuum packer either Open a jar with a fork stir and eat.....full flavor needs nothing, or put on top of a salad.....

Good job Mitch. Hard to tell who is happier you or your new friend.
Thought that was Jim but he only fishes at night.

Nice story, wtg winning the battle with the sea lion and the fish.
Word of caution though, if you're making mackerel in the bay you might be breaking the law. You CAN go to Scrips pier to make bait only, otherwise you have to be out of the bay by the South point. I'd hate to see anybody get a ticket for not knowing the boundries. Aaron

Thanks all.....you can see the teeth marks.....
And discoloration in the tail....now that I think back it was funny watching it surface with the yt in it mouth and grabbing air out the side of his face....a slurping sound and then back down.I guess I'm lucky no meat was destroyed and I got it.
