From a paddlers point-of-view, I can understand why they would install a motor to their kayak, but from a peddlers point-of-view, I can't grasp it. Paddling is a lot more tiring then peddling. Unless you're going out miles I see it being somewhat effective. This seems to be laziness.

With all of the money you've spent on motors you could have bought a 30' parker with dual outboards and all electronicsorts included

You guys do know that you could get a small boat with engine for about half the price of a PA14, right?

Are u running that with a torqeedo battery? I have two of those exact battery in my garage. I've been trying to figure out a way to connect them in parallel without having to gut them.

can you be more specific? injury has kept me out of the game and am considering affordable options to get back in the game. have seen aluminum skiffs with extension tillers fishing la jolla and think that may be the way to go.

I'm using a 12v 100amp lithium to power it. the 520w torqeedo batteries are just to get me to the fishing spots at MAX POWER. BWAHAHAHAHAHAH if hear about a kayak exploding that will probably be me.. https://www.bioennopower.com/collect...bs-blf-12100ws

dont' worry, i have the built in ballast tank that can fill up with air and float to the surface now... the a remote control that automatically takes it to the trailer.
I have also perfected the solo redondo hand launch situation... I now use this : https://www.amazon.com/Mac-Sports-Co...foldable+wagon this wagon to unload everything off the kayak and roll it to my car... then i bring the my custom made super wagon wheels to roll it to the car.

the cart was original a folding canoe cart with a width extender and balloon tires, then i put the hobie 17t cradles on it.
It was too high, so i lowered the whole cart by cutting the aluminum legs about 6 inches and drilling new axle holes using a 1/2 drill bit and some water to cool down the metal as i drilled into it. Now its low enough so i can lower the hobie pa17t when i seesaw it back down from the hand launch. I use the hand launch as a seesaw and then tie the wheels right behind my seat.
