Wow that would have been awesome to see those dolphins playing. I was out there Friday, but did not see a humpback.

The very low angle the kayak gives you makes for awesome backgrounds

the dolphin were really small and out in front of the pier a ways. I thought it was the boil of a lifetime from far away. the whale was at the kelp. nice photos!

Do you take a housing out with you? My water housing for my mkII is too bulky to bring along with me when I fish.

No water housing but stored in a dry bag.

Canon 1DS mII w 300 Canon F4.0 sharp as a tack lens.

Very bulky but I need pro results.

Rad! Never thought about taking a dry bag out instead of the housing. Those cameras produce excellent files and that lens is insanely sharp! I'm actually trying to sell my 5dmk2 because I favor the images off my OG 5d haha ... but I guess thats more of a discussion for a camera forum ....

Looking for a new DSLR since I just sold my old one on eBay.. Will check out your setup cause your getting some great shots there..

Saw this today in Malibu with my kid and followed it for miles up the coast. Never seen this happen before and spoke to lifeguard and he was shocked as well after seeing the video..

A baby whale was in the surf zone and once got caught with half its body on the sand.. My son and I ran and was about to call for help but within a few minutes he managed to get back into water.. It looked like a baby humpback, saw mama whale out deeper.. Funniest thing was seeing a baby seal frolicking in the water and once the baby whale gets near him, it freaks out and jumps completely out of the water and swam away quick.. I'm sure he never thought he would see a whale near the surf either.

Some pictures I took off the videos.

Not as nice as yours but these were taken with my phone.
