Learning FULL fish finder utilization

Hey guys, had a hard time finding the Info I needed. I was curious all the tips and tricks and uses for a FF out hunting yellows in LJ. Currently I have one trip under my belt and enjoyed finding schools of bait with it and uusing GPS to see my tracks, but since I'm fishing surface, wasn't really sure what to be looking for on sonar. I'm sure there's something. I was scanning the surface for boils. Thanks for any input!

Kaleb,

You can still use your ff to see marks (big fish, like yellowtail)
anywhere in the water. Recognizing which marks are yellowtail
and which are not, takes experience.

With time, you'll see bait balls with marks under, over, and all
around them. That's when you began to piece it all together.

Learning to master you FF takes time, a lot of time.

To answer your question. Use your FF to find bait, find kelp,
and find yellowtail hanging out in an area. You can't find boils
with a FF. They just happen. But you can find staging yellowtail.

More important than a FF, especially for yellowtail fishing, are
your eye balls. Watching for birds, nervous bait, clear water.

Keep fishing, you'll learn.
