A friend and I launched from LJ shores today about 8am.
didn't use live bait, just 5" big hammer swimmers/coil tails and surface irons

paddled out 3 miles and around the corner to the south 1 to 2 miles.

he caught a few small calicos and a 8-10 pound yellowtail on the light tackle

all i got was a 12" greenback foul hooked on a surface iron

released everything

Didn't I hear you say it was a 4lb yellowtail on your bass rod? And no mention of the nice angler who gave you some zip ties to fix your mirage drive. But maybe I'm mistaken..
