Damn Chuck. Didn't see that one coming. Funny thing is that at the beginning of the video, I told myself to ask u how u liked your terez. Nice job getting that fish in and that dish looks amazing. Is that BFT and YT? And what makes up the star portion?

Wow Chuck! You weren't even high-sticking it ? Maybe if you send in the video they will replace it for you. Nice fish by the way!

Unfortunately I believe that shimano no longer does lifetime warranty any longer. There were lots of people abusing the program. I've heard that they switched it to one year, but if u have an older model the lifetime warranty is still good. All hearsay though.

Looks familiar ...
I broke a Terez in the same location as yours. Shimano swapped it out no question asked. Nice to have it on video too, I am sure you will have no problem getting it replaced.
I still own Terez rods (and love them), but from now on I am buying United Composite rods. If you have'nt tried them, you should give them a look. Amazing rods. |

I have an older rod that has the lifetime warranty stickers. You are right that they only do 1 year warranty with the new rods.

Great recovery. The rod had to have a defect or hidden damage cause you sure didn't high stick. Thanks for posting. Mike

I've had it happen but with a pole I had tried to fix. As I was watching I though what fricking kind of pole is that " cause I won't be buying one of those". Like surfisher said you weren't even high sticking it. Chuck you had better luck than me, I missed the gaff shot and the thing turned and broke off the cheap ass Gamagatsu hook. Too bad on the no tuna but I find Yellows to be super tasty. Thanks for sharing Chuck.

Man. I was just telling Dre how the Terez lacks this sort of back bone. I have the 8ft 50-100lb braid and I feel like i cant put full pressure on the fish. Literally babying the fish out of the yelp. And for the Shimano warranty, they will fully replace the rod up to a year with receipt. Without receipt, they will let replace the same rod for 50% off. Took a Teramar about 2 months ago and replaced it with the Terez since the new Teramar models wont be out till the end of summer. I took mine into Shimano in Irvine. Hope this helps |
