I may see you out there, debating a Salt Creek run and considered looping out in search of close paddies.

I was thinking of doing the exact same thing. Just depends on weather and how hot or not salt creek is.

Iceman, hit salt creek. Ran my dad's boat a total of 50 miles yesterday. We stopped on multiple paddies with nobody home, didn't see any close to home either. Have seen a few reports on the good ol' instagram of BIG WSB and YT coming out of there lately.

Report

Caught lots of fish...........all bait. I did go about 3.5 miles off shore, but only saw a school of sardines. Lots of birds and dolphins eating the sardines, but no game fish underneath.

yep $10 bones but way shorter paddle out of the harbor, you can dump your gear right into the water/pick it out without dragging around or needing wheels, and there are hoses etc for washing down gear when you get back..

You can pay $10 or paddle an extra 1.6mi (0.8 each way).

I am liking the shorter paddle and the hose to wash down everything.

Thanks for the info!
