LJ 6/5

So took yesterday off and went fishing. Launched off the beach at 6:30. Weather was not very good. Overcast and super windy and lumpy ocean. Managed two fish one around 15-17 lbs. I should have released him but he swallowed the hook deep. The other fish into or close to 30 lbs range. Hooked up two other times but couldn't seal the deal. Had a great day on the water. Looking forward to a epic summer. I get a pic of the larger fish. When I get ready to cut her up. Right now she is chilling on ice.

Lucky dog

I was out there yesterday also and only managed one 23" lingcod.

I spent most of the morning feeding the sea loins. They were brutal yesterday

After 1200 they seem to disappear and I got to soak some mackerel unmolested, but no takers. Off the water 1430

It was still a great sequel for me YT slayer .. the launch and landing were successful, no leaks, and techniqly didn't get skunked lol. Would of liked to land my bites, but for a day with seadogs following us tell 1, awkward weather and current. You showed its possible to land a couple quality fish with a little effort. Can't wait for the weekenders.

Bert, you never cease to amaze. So I guess I don't catch enough YT, but how long was he on before you set the hook. I haven't gut hooked a yellow yet, but then again I never catch fish. I'm sure you are still searching for that diamond in the rough we talked about on the beach. Time on the water will pay off for you!!!
