2015 AK YAK Classic report
It was a great weekend. A little windy. One guy capsized a PA. Not good. Make sure your hatch is secured!!! Got water in it and became unstable. So I have two video compilations. Day 1 & Day 2. Big fish Day one ended up the winner and big fish Day 2 was the second largest. Got lucky. Crappy Iphone editing. Day 1 http://youtu.be/G8559tQvPFU Day 2 http://youtu.be/qFYMnTOX1y AlaskaKayakFisher.com Guidesak.blogspot.com My personal pages...I'm not a guide. |

Love the video's.
Just got back from up that way last Wednesday, I want to go back up there on a fishing only trip next summer. I have a question, you mentioned a guy flipped his PA, do you guys wear a dry suit? If not what do you do to protect against the cold water in the event of a spill? Thanks, Walrus

We wear drysuits. Almost essential in the ocean even for comfort. 70 deg air day is rare day. So not only is the water cold even in the summer, once you get out you are cold.

That's great fishing, love the video. That boga grip really works well for handling those halibut and making nice releases. The weather was really nice from the mid week on and clear and sunny when I left on Saturday. I will send you an email tonight.
