San Roque Launch

Only a few of you will recognize this spot. San Roque launch with a nice south swell. Ready to hit it Sven?

Have you mostly been fishing San Roque or have you fished near your house?

How was it in the other areas than San Roque?

I still haven't got that replacement rod for my Penn spinfisher/shimano baitrunner.

Looking at maybe a heavier rod 30-50 for it.

It has been a bit chilly and windy here for the past few days. Been doing quite a bit of shore fishing. Lots of combination and a few halibut. Having one for dinner tonight. Got out on Saturday I think in front of my place and managed 3 YT and a dozen calicos. No real size to the YT but one was about 17 lbs. Today is the first warm flat calm day but the south swell prevents me from launching, even from the cove where Juan has his panga

Can you launch on the bay on the left side of Shari's where we shower? Remember to take pics of YT, Hali's and WSB with jig in mouth for IRON MAN. Ross is now living in Paradise!!!!!

Looks like I would be landing where the fisherman land. You gotta get out there and find that spot again.

Baja or Bust will be making two resupply trips to see Ross. The Ironman trip 27 July to 9 August and Thanksgiving. Giving you two chances to experience the San Roque landing, see Ross and maybe make a side trip to Abreojos.

San Roque is a red ghost town when it is not lobster season. There may be 2 or 3 vehicles at the launch each day. It looks like they are refurbishing the church. Was out there a couple Sundays ago and they had a big work party going on. New block walls, painting and scraping. Strange
