After the Rain 1/27/2015

This year, I went to the sewers three times and got skunked twice. Finally, today I got double. It was a wonderful day of fishing. Not much to say.

Here are my pictures:

My first fish at 10:55 A.M. The butt is 29 inches.

My second fish at 11:15 A.M. The butt is 32 inches.

This is my best personal record for catching double and the biggest I have caught so far.

Do you worry about a seal coming up and taking a bite at the fish while they are on the stringer?

I second that question. Do you guys keep em hung over the the side or just throw em in a hatch and get back to shore.

Back in 2013 I went roughly 4-5 months without catching a single legal fish, I was the the butt of every joke, every weekend. I can't tell you how much I hated going out the next weekend wondering if it was it was going to be another skunk. Your continued efforts in fishing a spot that did not produce for you shows that you were determined to get something and you did. You really have no one to thank but yourself......good job buddy!!!

That all depends on what you're doing and where you're at. If I'm drifting I will leave my fish hanging, if I'm moving I'll stick on the deck. If I'm at LJ chances are I would not leave a fish hanging over the side, not with all of those seals around.

W a s out there again today. Took my time. Made a few nice greens for bait. Found a fishy looking spot and sent the fella down. Almost instant something bit it hard. I let it chew on it for a bit and I thought it had swallowed it....tried to set the hook but slipped right off. Sent it back down it must of spooked it away.... Had some nice big bite marks on the mack...sooo close...... Met smelly fingers out there today thanks for the smelt I couldn't make anymore bait after 10....was a good day nonetheless and tried out my new Polaroid xs100 it was pretty cool too bad water was so foggy couldnt get any underwater footage besides a baby seal playing

Yes I do worry, but because I have been fishing at the sewer for quite awhile it has not happened to me yet. And what Jorge commented is true.

This one is a few months old but its an instant hook-up

Free spool at 0:23
Bait hits bottom at 0:34
Fish on at 0:38
