La Jolla August 8th
Now that she is sleeping more than four hours a night, the warden gave me permission to head out on a guided trip. Josh was and is tons of help getting me dialed in and ready for the trip. This day it took over three hours to fill the tanks with Green Backs, but once we were topped off, we headed over to the grounds. The logs were out in force and would hold on to your flylined mac and hitch hike back to the boat for a quick splash and then back into the school. Ton's of knowledge was passed my way, only hopping to remember a fraction and put it to good use. The night landing was exiting, so I included that in the video. I was spooked on the landing, but knowing backup was at my six...it went smooth as can be. One of the YT had a Pennella Filosa embedded in it's back. Pretty nasty female! |

Very nice catch. Surf looked smaller that night, maybe it was low tide. Thanks for sharing
