Went out to La Jolla today. Awesome day out on the water. Launched before sunrise. Made bait in the dark and threw a Mac on the fly line and started working my way out. About 20-30 min later boom. Hooked up to my first ever yellow tail. Another 30 min later it was on the yak. 3rd time to La Jolla and like the 6th trip ever on a yak. Couldn't be any happier. Don't have a scale but fish was 41" long and felt pretty close to 30 lbs or so.

I could hear you shouting "hell ya!" from the 3/4! Thats when i came scrambling over to lurk... Too bad the school didn't stick around.

Congrats on the first yellow, its a beast. It's always cool to see someone soo stoked. Well done!

Congrats on there nice fish. I like your style. Join the board saying you would like to try kayak fishing, jump in the deep end, buy a yak and actually get out there fishing, catch a fine fish as your reward

Thanks. I was so pumped catching that fish. I couldn't contain myself if I tried. I was so happy. I ended up calling it a day about an hour after I landed my fish. Cant wait to get back out there!!!!
