I was out there Saturday, kind of slow, managed to get a couple of 12" sculpin and a couple of bass for the day. Did get smacked hard on the ultra light, broke off though.
Windy, cold, but the water seemed warm. Bait barge had pinhead chovies, not good for bait.

Hi Dave!
Yeah, pinheads today too. Bait lately is too big or too small. Over the years, we have become very spoiled with the beautiful sardines. Hopefully they will be back, but you know how these things go. I ended up today with two baby halibut, successfully released in spite of them trying to inhale the small bait. A handful of bass on plastics. That was fun. Windy but warm. Not a lot of traffic on the water. I was deflated when I saw the bait! Janine

Yeah, not even worth buying the pinheads, except maybe for chum. Sounds like you did pretty good though.
Do you use circle hooks?
