Kokatat MsFit Tour Life Jacket-PFD Unisex 500D Cordura outer and 200D nylon inner 16 lbs. 6 oz. USCG Type IIITouring Articulated shell and foam panels 2 bellows pockets with zippered side entry One electronics pocket Front lash tab, reflective tape Strobe lash tab on back Another popular pfd is the NRS Chinook but I have not tried that one on. Stohlquist fisherman is also a good one apparently. You MUST try them out though and everyone has a different fit. What feels comfortable for you I may hate and vise versa. Also when you put them on you have to have them fit snugly. If they are put on too loosely when you are in the water the pfd will run up too high and your floatation will be compromised. Get one that fits well first and don't worry about storage. There are plenty of ways to store things on a kayak but having a good pfd can save your life. I am very happy with my PFD... Very adjustable and easy to make comfortable. I wear it with no issues. I would guess some people don't wear theirs because they just aren't comfortable. This is what I bought:

Go somewhere that has a variety. When you try it on, sit on the floor and mock the paddling motion to see if it rubs or binds anywhere. Try sitting in a chair to see how it will feel in back when you are in your kayak.
Don't skimp. When you find the one that works for you USE IT. I have a wife and two kids relying on me coming home every trip. I swim well, but I can't swim if I am knocked out by some idiot on a jetski or in a boat. |

Agree. Especially since the prices are great as well.

I got the Stohlquist Piseas for about $25 less than the Fisherman, and I like it just fine.
