Are these the kind that the line goes into the rod? I usually use an old rod that I don't use much anymore. Do you prefer the line being protected, I guess that keeps the hooks from catching on things.

Yes Jimmy, it is the kind that goes into the rod. The sabiki is protected from catching on things, mainly you. That's the purpose of it...safety thing...

Reel Anxious (Paul) asked first and he chose the 6ft sabiki stick.
