Cayucos travel planning help needed
We're intrigued to return after briefly passing through Cayucos and San Simeon. Please share to any general words-to-the-wise about visiting the area.
We're going into planning with limited info. We'll balance our yakkin' with another couple or two who'll be into vino in Paso and chillin' by the sea. We've a couple Revo's we'll want to hit the water with to touch and do a little fishin'. 'Seems perfectly far away, yet 40 min from Paso Robles to satisfy non-yakkers who may visit. Medium price range. Please share: 1. Good vacation rentals that can accommodate a couple yaks (House or condo with garage?) 2. Put-in locations 3. Knowledgeable local guide/shop

You want to launch at Leffingwell (Cambria). It is at the North end of Moonstone Drive. Back your vehicle right down to the sand unload and you are about 50 yards from the water. Easy launch. Fishing is awesome there. Start when you hit the kelp and fish to the outside. You don't need a guide. Rates are down on Moonstone Drive right now so hit up Google. There is a Campground you can camp at called San Simeon about a mile from the launch. The Raccoons are bad there so don't leave any food out. Good Luck and post pictures of your trip.
