Island White (Cherry Beach), 11-19-13
We made it out to the Island and for me it was a steady pick for me with 6 bass (2 legal) by about 8:30. And then it just shut off for me. Steve on the other hand struggled early on, but as my bite died his picked up. He ended the day with 5. This is a complete reverse for us. Usually he's on the fish right away and I struggle early on. As planned we were off the water by 10ish. Baits early on were a fire tiger jig, and any color 4" FLurry got bit. Once the bite died for me I couldn't buy a bite, no matter the color or style. It was a slow day, but definitely could've been worse. And as always it was good to be on the water with Steve.

I can PM you a spot in TJ to find all the bonitas you want, for a cost.
Bonito are harder to track down.

Ed, Steve,
Always enjoy and appreciate your reports I was on the Pursuit this past weekend. All the bonita you can handle. Check the reports they're still catching them. As far as bonita within kayak range, I'd like to know too. |
